Your warmth, laughter, and presence by the sea reminded me of why I pursue photography.

I had originally planned to reopen my portrait business on October 23. But as some of you know, I recently had an accident and needed surgery on my right wrist. So my plans are now on pause — just for a little while.

Healing might take time, but I can start building the momentum while healing, one gentle step at a time.

Slowly but surely, I’m rebuilding my creative spirit. The first step was creating a new portfolio and a new name. Mieko Photography was an incredible journey and a stepping stone toward my independence, but that chapter came to a close when I left Maui. Now, I’m ready for a fresh start.
Willow Photo is still evolving, just as I am. I wanted to share this transition with you, even though I’m not entirely sure where it will lead. What I do know is that I hope to capture the beauty of life with the serene elegance and resilience that the “Willow” symbolizes.
